The Green Build
Construction Advisories
The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority has launched a construction alert
system to keep you informed about construction around Terminal 2 related to The
Green Build, the largest project in the airport’s history.
E-alerts offer timely updates about construction activity, including parking relocation
and other potential impacts on travel to and from the airport. Please view the latest
e-alerts below, or use the button on the left to have the e-alerts delivered directly
to your inbox.

Pile Driving to Take Place in January
As work on The Green Build continues, the Airport Authority will be pile driving
from Tuesday, January 10, through Friday, January 20, from noon to 8:30 p.m. During
this time, 65 precast piles will be driven to support the dual-level roadway and
Check-In Pavilions in front of Terminal 2.
The Airport Authority is pre-drilling for the piles to minimize any disruption to
the surrounding area, and will utilize a sound attenuation blanket to help mitigate
noise levels. However, depending on proximity to the pile driving, you may hear
noise or feel some vibration. Please excuse any inconvenience as we proceed with
this phase of The Green Build's construction.
To sign up for airport construction alerts, text "alert" to 45995.
Standard text messaging rates may apply. If you have any questions or concerns,
please call the Green Build construction hotline at 619-400-2288, or send an e-mail
to greenbuild@san.org.
