Airport Construction Update: Intersection at Harbor Drive and McCain Road now open;
Pedestrian Bridge demolished
Some exciting changes have taken place at San Diego International Airport as The
Green Build construction continues.
A signaled intersection at Harbor Drive and McCain Road, west of San Diego International
Airport, is now open. The intersection provides easy access to
additional airport
parking at SAN Park NTC, located off McCain and Spruance Road at 2395 McCain Road.
The intersection also permits cars exiting the lot to make a left hand turn and
travel east on Harbor Drive.
In addition, in May, the pedestrian bridge connecting Terminal 2 East to the parking
lot and transportation center was demolished to make way for a dual-level roadway
in front of Terminal 2, which will help relieve current congestion at the curb.
If you're making your way between Terminal 2 and the parking lot/transportation
center, you can use the pedestrian bridge at the West end of Terminal 2, or the
crosswalk located just outside the Terminal 2 West baggage claim area.
